How to reach us?
Access to the hotel is easy, even in winter. There are grey navigation panels on the driveway from the direction of Luhačovice. The distance from the centre of Luhačovice is less than 4 km, from the centre of Zlín about 20 km. Hotel Vega has three parking areas. Parking is free for hotel guests with a valid parking card, which can be obtained on arrival at the hotel reception.
The nearest railway station is in Luhačovice (6 km), you can take a bus to Pozlovice (bus stop Pozlovice Horní koniec). The nearest international airport is in Vienna (approx. 170 km).
A complimentary shuttle service is available for hotel guests on arrival at the hotel and also on departure - this service must be booked at least 24 hours in advance.
On weekdays, a shuttle service to the centre of Luhačovice and back to the hotel is also available for hotel guests at designated times. This service can be booked directly at the hotel reception
History of the hotel
The hotel building was built in 1981, originally used for the company recreation of the Hodonín Ironworks. In 1990 it became a member of the holding consisting of Ferro Moravia Staré Město Ironworks, Šroubárny Ždánice and Šroubárny Kyjov under the name Hotel Vega, s.r.o.
The building underwent extensive reconstruction in 1996-1997, when a sports centre and part of the catering section were added. Operation started in autumn 1997. In the following years the hotel underwent many renovations. Reconstruction of the restaurant, construction of a new lounge and renovation of rooms and corridors.
Among the biggest achievements in 2018 is the construction of an outdoor swimming pool with facilities and a cafeteria. In the same year, the Vega Hotel was also awarded a four-star hotel classification. In 2021, the hotel's pool and spa underwent renovations. The extension created a new space for a sauna area and a spacious relaxation room. The hotel's massage rooms also received a new coat.
In 2021, the accommodation capacity was expanded to include 12 air-conditioned apartment cottages, located in close proximity to the hotel, offering guests stylish accommodation and greater privacy. With this extension, the hotel is able to meet the huge demand for accommodation in this unique location.
The year 2024 has brought a new look to the hotel, thanks to a successful renovation of the exterior of the hotel, where anthracite metal and wood are combined to give the hotel a look that fits in perfectly with the local nature. Also worth mentioning is the newly built outdoor terrace with breathtaking views of the valley and a seating capacity of more than 40 people.
